Will Force Touch sensor return back to iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch?
The US Based Apple patent has recently revealed that they might bring back Force touch sensor in Apple Watch, Mac, and iPhone, US Patent and Trademark Office published this decision on 25th march 2022 via Patently Apple relating to Force-Pressure sensors.
The patent addressed an array of devices that Apple has planned to release in upcoming times, including AirPods, Apple Watch, Smart bands, sleep tracking Devices, etc., The emphasis was led on Apple’s invention concerning Force-Sensor System that might be designed for small devices, like Apple Watch and AirPods.
The regular pressure sensors require a comparatively large area for installation though the new technology may overcome this shortcoming by using microelectromechanical fluid pressure sensors.
The curiosity among the fans to know more about the installation of Force-Sensors has been quenched by one of the patents as they released an Apple Watch schematic which shows a pressure sensor as a side button in the gadget. The previous buttons are most likely to be replaced by new ones based on new generation pressure sensors. Which will give the Apple Watch a new look to drool over for.
The rumors have reached us disclosing the device, Apple Watch Series 8 (which is designed to track health benefits too) as the one that will have the new feature.
Apple back in 2018 had removed the force touch also known as a 3D touch from all its products that debuted with iOS 13 and replaced it with the Haptic touch, in the year 2020 Apple had also removed the Force touch from its watchOS 7 which invited much criticism back then.
Will 3D Touch Return?
The Apple patents describe the use of Microelectromechanical fluid pressure sensors in trackpads of MacBooks up to the precision of detecting even slight touch suggest and giving out images and experiences similar to 3D touch.
The description of feelings that the fans might possess right now won’t be difficult as the removal of 3D sensors faced criticism which itself describes that users will rejoice at the launch of this new feature in their favorite gadgets.
