Moreover, Apple released Universal Controls in March as one of the new features in macOS Monterey 12.3 and iPad OS 15.4, and since its release, the feature has had a “Beta” label, meaning it’s still in beta.

In macOS Monterey version 12.4 RC, under System Preferences > Display > General Controls, the “Beta” label next to the Universal Controls option has been removed. Likewise, in iPadOS 15.5 RC, under System Preferences > AirPlay > Handoff > Cursor & Keyboard, there is no longer a “Beta” tab.

Moreover, Universal Control allows users to use a set of keyboard and mouse to control the Mac and iPad. The cursor on the Mac can be moved directly to the iPad, the text entered on the Mac can also appear on the iPad, and even the content you can also drag and drop back and forth between the two Macs.

Macbook Pro 13-inch, iMac, Mac mini only available for immediate shipping from Apple

Published

According to the latest report, inspections of Macs available for immediate shipment from Apple show that there are now only three models. Other Macs require a wait of one to two weeks, or up to 11 weeks, depending on the model and country. Some users who have already placed orders are waiting longer.

The global chip shortage is caused by a variety of factors. These include increased demand for technology during the pandemic, COVID-19-related production disruptions, and growing demand for chips from automakers as cars rely on more and more microprocessor units.

Moreover, the biggest problem isn’t the CPU and GPU, but more mundane chips like display drivers and power management systems. These relatively low-tech chips are used in a slew of devices, including Apple.

Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that supply constraints cost Apple $6 billion over two quarters and warned that losses could be as high as $8 billion this quarter.

A recent report said there were shortages in seven chip categories, four of which will continue to be affected throughout 2022 a situation exacerbated by shortages of chips in the manufacturing equipment that makes new chips.

It’s understandable that Mac Studio and Studio Display have been hit hard due to a combination of demand for new equipment and supply chain challenges. Within hours of the first booking, shipping was delayed to two months.

High-end MacBook Pro orders have also been affected by the coronavirus lockdown in China, with some customers told they will have to wait up to five months for deliveries. The turmoil at the MacBook Pro Quanta factory means this could easily get worse.

Macworld’s new availability check shows that only three models of Macs are available for immediate shipping when purchased from Apple.

Save your time on Apple Mac with Folder Shortcut feature

Save your time with Apple Mac Folder shortcut feature

Hey Apple users! Do you know that you can save your time with the help of the Apple Mac Folder shortcut feature? The time we spend in front of our screens has doubled, and the time while sitting over there is max consumed by searching for the ideal file locations for our Mac.

It usually happens that upon saving our Microsoft files or pages or another file the dialog box of our Mac usually indicates the wrong place which in turn makes us go through the chaos of running our fingers wild over the trackpad for searching and then selecting the desired folder- we end up wasting a lot of time.

Previously upon saving our documents- let’s talk about Microsoft documents – the dialog box would start with suggesting a default folder, which usually happens to be the least wanted place for my files to be kept, then upon scrolling over the trackpad and selecting the expand option it was yet a task to browse through and then choose the desired folder, which is quite a hassle when it comes from the perspective of a person who continually works on such documents.

Though while I was scrolling Twitter, I came across the tweet from iOS engineer Zach Waugh who has recently tweeted a short-cut trick to resolve this time-consuming issue, it was very new to me, so I tried using it for my own Mac which was after successfully using it, I thought – why not let other fans out there know about this trick which would also mean for them saving lots of their precious time, and hence here I am sharing it with you all.

Save your time with Apple Mac Folder shortcut feature

Here’s the trick for you:

Type the word forward-Slash ‘/’ when your save dialogue box appears this automatically opens go to the folder and saves navigating through different folders from your trackpad, or typing long strings for your desired folder, then this shortcut can also be used with ‘~’ symbol which provides a direct gateway to your desired location. Though you must know the path of the folder you are looking for.

If that was difficult to understand let me give you a simple example, if you want to save your image in your user folder, then upon opening your save dialog box type “/~/Pictures” and the picture would directly land in that folder, same with a document that needs to go in your articles folder of document type in “/~/Documents/Articles” and the job is done.

Apple M1 Ultra chip brings evolution to Mac Studios

The latest release of the Apple M1 Ultra chip has marked the introduction of the world’s most powerful chip for a personal computer rolling out with all-new Mac Studios, it is a wonder created in itself. The release marked by the name ‘Ultra fusion’ beholds two M1 Max joined together to produce this groundbreaking introduction for Apple Silicon and Mac.

M1 chip is built by connecting the die of two M1 Max bringing an unmatchable scale to PCs, and the tech giant is so happy at its work of bringing out this fusion chip with Apple’s algorithm that Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware technologies stated it to bring shock to the whole PC industry.

The excerpts from his statements are: “M1 Ultra is another game-changer for Apple silicon that once again will shock the PC industry. By connecting two M1 Max die with our Ultra Fusion packaging architecture, we’re able to scale Apple silicon to unprecedented new heights,”

Apple M1 Ultra chip brings evolution to Mac Studios

The design as per its foundation lets Apple double all specs from M1 Max, like 20 CPU cores, 64 GPU cores -that gamers will specifically love- 32-core neural engine for AI processing, and offers up to 128 GB of RAM, Apple applauding its work by statements that suggest this chip would perform 8 times better than the regular M1.

I believe that this introduction would offer great speed and along with its next level of satisfaction to all its users, with the foundation being such powerful that M1 Max is a defining factor for its credibility. The significant way of checking performance is connecting two chips that increase latency, reduce bandwidth and increase power consumption but thanks to M1 ultra it all gets diminished.

The Apple M1 ultra chip has made its debut with the new Mac Studios that were released alongside it, and user interactions have told that it indeed provides super scale performance, thus once again Apple has won the heart of its Consumers with all the efforts and hard work done over the time.
